Shamaris is an intense, vibrant wine that best expresses the uniqueness of the Sicilian territory, with all its nuances. It is made from pure grillo grapes from the hills of Monreale, one of the most important native Sicilian grape varieties. After manual harvesting, white winemaking and temperature-controlled fermentation are carried out. Once the fermentation phase is finished, steel maturation takes place for a few months, to preserve freshness and fragrance.
Characteristics of this Sicilian wine
It has a straw yellow color and olfactory notes of white flowers, jasmine, yellow melon and apple. Fresh and savoury on the palate, with an aftertaste reminiscent of yellow melon and spices.
Recommended pairings with this white wine from Cantina Cusumano
Try it as an aperitif, fish dishes such as appetizers, sushi, tartare, fried foods and grilled foods. Serve at 8-10°C.
