This red wine from the Sicilian Cusumano winery was born from the use of pure Syrah grapes from the white limestone soils of Butera: the vineyards are located at an altitude of 450 m above sea level with a southern exposure and thus enjoy the warm rays of the sun. This wine owes its name to the union of the words fos from freco and nuur from Arabic, meaning light squared. After manual harvesting, the grapes are subjected to traditional white winemaking: they are gently destemmed by vibration, macerated for 25 days with infusion, malolactic and finally ripened in 5 hl stems for at least 18 months.
Characteristics of this red wine from Sicily
It has a garnet red color with deeper reflections. The olfactory profile is well defined by red, pink, violet fruits, undergrowth and dark spices. On the palate it is enveloping, soft and with light tannins. The finish is savoury and spicy.
