Wine description

The “Fasoli Gino 100” is the celebratory wine created by the Fasoli Gino winery to celebrate its centenary, a milestone that encompasses one hundred harvests, one hundred years of family history and a pioneering vision of organic viticulture. It is a special cuvée that represents the synthesis of the best expressions of corporate production. It is born from a blend of selected grapes from the family's historic vineyards: Corvina, Corvinone, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes are harvested manually and partially subjected to a drying process, which allows for the concentration of aromas, structure and complexity. Winemaking takes place separately for the different varieties, followed by a long aging in oak barrels for at least 36–48 months, which helps define the depth and harmony of the wine.

Characteristics of this wine from the Veneto

On organoleptic examination it appears with an intense ruby red color with purplish reflections. The scent is broad and complex, with notes of ripe red fruits, blackberry, black cherry, licorice, sweet spices, black pepper, cinnamon and light shades of leather. On the palate it is soft, velvety and structured, with fine tannins, great balance and a long gustatory persistence.

Recommended pairings with this red wine from Fasoli Gino

It is an important wine, designed to accompany structured dishes such as red meats, game and aged cheeses, but also for meditative tasting. The ideal service temperature is 16–18 °C, with great aging potential that can exceed 20 years.
