“Igino” is an important and iconic red wine from the Fasoli Gino winery, dedicated to the family founder, a symbolic figure in the company's tradition. This wine represents the strength, character, and history of the Fasoli family, and is designed as a red for meditation and special occasions. Production involves a careful selection of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in suitable vineyards in the Verona area. After manual harvesting, the bunches are subjected to a wilting period of approximately 50–60 days, which allows them to concentrate sugars and flavourings. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks for approximately 20 days, followed by long maturation in oak barriques for at least 36 months, which gives structure, complexity and evolutionary notes.
Characteristics of this wine from the Veneto
On organoleptic examination it appears with a deep, intense red color. The bouquet is rich and complex, with hints of ripe and jammy red fruit, cherry in spirit, sweet spices, black pepper, balsamic notes and nuances of cocoa and coffee. On the palate it is powerful, warm and enveloping, with well-present but balanced tannins, great structure and a long and persistent finish.
