Wine description
This Apulian red wine is made from 100% Primitivo grapes grown on clay-loam soils particularly rich in minerals and iron oxides. The grapes are harvested at the beginning of September following careful selection: fermentation then takes place at a controlled temperature of 23-25°C for about ten days. The wine is aged in French oak barriques and finally in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Apulian Ettamiano
It has an intense red colour with purple reflections. The nose is intoxicated by fruity notes of red fruits, cinnamon, cocoa and liquorice. On the palate, it is characterised by a long finish and a fresh, savoury vein.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian red wine
Excellent with lamb, wild boar and pork dishes. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C.
