Wine description
This Primitivo Puglia Organic wine from the Varvaglione winery is made from pure Primitivo grapes. Vinification requires maceration at a controlled temperature of 24-26 C°. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and finally short bottle ageing.
Characteristics of this wine from Apulia
It has a very intense red colour with violet reflections. The olfactory bouquet evokes blackberries, currants but also liquorice, nutmeg, chocolate and vanilla. Hints of coconut and fresh fruit on the palate, good balance between structure and persistence.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian red wine
Try it with pasta and fresh cheese. serve at a temperature of 14-16 C°.
