Wine description
From pure Primitivo di Manduria grapes comes this red wine from the Apulian Varvaglione winery. Vinification requires maceration at a controlled temperature of 26-28 C°. followed by malolactic fermentation and finally ageing in French and American barriques for a minimum of 10 months.
Characteristics of this wine from Apulia
It has a very intense red colour. The olfactory bouquet is reminiscent of ripe red fruit as well as coffee and toasted almonds. On the palate, the tannic texture is velvety.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian red wine
Try it with red meat dishes and game. Also excellent as a meditation wine. Serve at a temperature of 14-18 C°.
