Sangue di Giuda dell'Oltrepò Pavese DOC “Nhemo” from Cantina Vanzini is a sweet sparkling red wine produced in the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, in the municipalities of San Damiano al Colle, Canneto Pavese and Montù Beccaria. It is born from Croatian, Barbera and Rare Grapes grapes from the same vineyard, grown on clayey soils, rich in sandstone and calcareous marl, between 220 and 280 metres above sea level. Winemaking takes place in steel at a controlled temperature according to the Martinotti Method: the must ferments in a closed environment for approximately 15-20 days, thus maintaining the wine's natural vivacity. It is then bottle aged for about 25-30 days.
Characteristics of this wine from the Vanzini Winery
From an organoleptic point of view it has an intense ruby red colour with purple reflections. On the nose it is intense and fresh, with aromas reminiscent of jam and notes of red fruits such as cherry, raspberry and berries. In the mouth it is sweet, soft and velvety, characterized by a pleasant natural effervescence and a long aromatic persistence.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
This wine finds its ideal pairing with desserts and dry pastries, especially jam tarts, biscuits and cantucci, but it can also pleasantly accompany convivial moments at the end of the meal thanks to its freshness and lightness. The recommended service temperature is about 12 °C.
