This red wine from Belisario Winery comes from vineyards located around the castle in the municipality of Morro d'Alba: the vineyards face south/south-east, at an altitude of 150-210 metres above sea level and on mixed soils with a good amount of clay. The pure Lacrima grapes are harvested during the first half of September, followed by vinification involving 80% maceration for 10 days and 20% carbonic maceration. Fermentation takes place over a period of about twenty days at a temperature of 22-26°C. Final maturation in steel for 6 months.
Characteristics of this wine from Belisario
It has a ruby red colour with violet reflections. The bouquet is pleasantly fruity, with hints of cherry and raspberry in particular. On the palate, it is fresh with delicate tannins.

Try it with stewed red meat dishes, game and white meat. Also excellent with cold cuts, cured meats, pasta with meat sauces, and risottos with meat or mushrooms. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
