Moscato Spumante “Tycho” from Vanzini is a sweet sparkling wine made from 100% Moscato grapes grown in the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, in the municipalities of San Damiano al Colle, Santa Maria della Versa and Volpara. The vineyards, located between 300 and 350 metres above sea level, grow on soils derived from calcareous sandstones and marls with a clay component and are raised using a traditional Guyot system and spurred cordon. Production involves a short maceration on the skins followed by soft pressing of the grapes and fermentation in an autoclave according to the Martinotti Method, at a controlled temperature between 14 and 20 °C for approximately 15-20 days. The wine is then filtered, bottled and aged in glass for about three months.
Characteristics of this Moscato Spumante from Vanzini Winery
From an organoleptic point of view it has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. On the nose it is fresh, intense and aromatic, with floral notes and fruity notes of apple, pear, peach, plum and citrus. In the mouth it is sweet, elegant and well structured, characterized by a pleasant softness and a good retro-olfactory persistence that enhances its aromatic characteristics.
Recommended pairings with this sparkling wine
Excellent with desserts, especially cream cakes, fresh pastries, and traditional Italian desserts like Easter dove and panettone. Thanks to its aromatic freshness, it is also ideal as an end-of-meal wine or to accompany convivial moments. The recommended service temperature is between 6 and 8 °C.
