From pure Negroamaro grapes, this red wine from the Apulian winery Vespa Vignaioli is born: an important Negroamaro, the company's flagship, enhanced by a long aging process. The vineyards are located at 40 m above sea level on clay-sandy soils: once harvested in the first ten days of September, the grapes are subjected to soft pressing with subsequent alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C for about ten days. The maceration continues for a week after the end of fermentation, during which re-storage and delestage are carried out. The final refinement phase takes place in barriques for 12 months.
Characteristics of this Salento wine
It has a deep ruby red color. The olfactory bouquet features fruity notes of cherry, berries but also spices. On the palate he is fresh but endowed with character.
