MONTE DEL FRÀ

Situated between Custoza and Staffalo and protected by the morainic hills, the Azienda Monte del Frà stands: already in 1492 this land was cultivated by the friars of Santa Maria della Scala for their self-sufficiency. About two centuries later, Massimo Bonomo rented two rooms on the estate together with the surrounding land, but the real turning point came in 1988 when the Bonomo family chose to dedicate themselves exclusively to viticulture, thus inaugurating Monte del Frà. Over the years, the first lands were joined by others in the Veronese appellations until the current 200 hectares were reached. With constant work, first among the vineyards but also in the cellar, each phase is now carried out by the third generation of the Bonomo family to try to achieve maximum production sustainability, allowing the territory to express itself to the full.
