Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCG Tenuta Lena di Mezzo MONTE DEL FRÀ

From the best vineyards located in the Valpolicella Classica area, at about 250-450 m above sea level, comes this sweet wine from the Veneto region of Monte del Frà Winery. For the production of this sweet red wine, a blend of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes is used, harvested during the month of October after brief drying on the vine. The drying process then continues in temperature-controlled crates until the desired sugar concentration is reached. Soft crushing and slow alcoholic fermentation follow: before bottling, this sweet wine rests in barrels for 24 months.

Characteristics of this Recioto wine

It presents a very intense red colour. The olfactory notes are dominated by violet, wild rose and vanilla as well as fruity and spicy notes. In the mouth it is delicately sugary, with good harmony.

Recommended pairings with this Veneto wine

Perfect with spoon desserts, fruit salad, cooked fruit. Serve at a temperature of 15°C.
