This rosé wine from Veneto by Cantina Pasqua is made from a blend of Corvina, Trebbiano di Lugana and Carmenere grapes. To produce this rosé, the red grapes are gently pressed and the white grapes are lightly macerated on the skins for about 10 hours. The must is then cooled and transferred to steel tanks to allow the solid particles to settle. Alcoholic fermentation follows at a controlled temperature of 13-16°C: 10% of the blend ferments further in new French oak tonneaux and the remainder in second-use French oak barriques and tonneaux.
Characteristics of this rosé wine
The Corvina grape variety gives hints of red fruit and a touch of acidity; Trebbiano contributes notes of white flowers and citrus fruits, while Carmenere gives great structure on the palate. The palate is also striking for its toasted and vanilla notes, thanks to the ageing in wood.
Recommended pairings with this Veneto rosé wine
Try it with sushi, sashimi, shellfish and fish dishes in general. Also excellent with white meats or as an aperitif. Serve at a temperature of 6-8°C.
