Wine description

This elegant wine by Braida praises the denomination Monferrato Rosso DOC. It is a blend composed by 60% Barbera, 20% Pinot Noir, 10% Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. The vineyards are spread in different areas of the DOC, around Castelnuovo Calcea and Rocchetta Tanaro. The wine-making considers that the grapes are treated separately, with alcoholic fermentation in inox and the malolactic one in wood. The aging is developed in wooden barrels for 12 months. The assembly is followed by 4 months maturation in the bottle. Bacialè, in the local dialect, means the man who arranges weddings. In fact, this wine represents the perfect wedding of the grapes that compose it. Bacialè by Braida di Giacomo Bologna is a balanced, harmonious wine, perfect for a dinner with friends.

 

Features of “Monferrato Rosso Il Bacialè DOC”

The aspect shows an intense and shiny ruby red colour. Its perfume is spicy, and Pinot variety gives a pleasant sensation of blackberries. The taste is wide and warm, while the final expresses plums, pepper and cinnamon.

 

Recommended food pairings while tasting this red produced by Braida

Excellent with Italian starters, meat and medium aged cheeses. It has to be served at 18°C in a high, wine glass that allows the right oxygenation.
