Lago di Caldaro Scelto DOP Brigl

This red wine from Brigl Winery comes from pure Schiava grapes, grown on the Oltradige hills at an altitude of 300-450 meters above sea level, on sandy and clayey soils. After the manual harvest, the grapes are de-stemmed and ferment for a period of 8-10 days in steel at a controlled temperature, then follow malolactic fermentation and aging partly in oak barrels and partly in steel.

The organoleptic examination shows a ruby red color and olfactory notes reminiscent of red berried fruits and wild flowers. The tannic texture is soft on the palate, pleasantly fruity and with an aftertaste of bitter almonds.
