Wine description
This white wine from the Terre Carsiche 1939 winery is made from a blend of Fiano, Chardonnay and Bianco d'Alessano grapes: the grapes come from Karst soils located at 400-450 m above sea level. Harvesting takes place in the second half of September and vinification requires half fermentation in steel and half in barriques. The final ageing phase requires 8 months in oak barriques and a final 6 months in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
It has an intense straw yellow colour: the olfactory notes recall fruit and spices while on the palate it is velvety and full-bodied.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian white wine
Excellent with fish dishes, semi-mature cheeses as well as white meats. Serve at a temperature of 12-14 C°.
