This red wine "Fass Nr 9" by Girlan Winery, produced with 100% Vernatsch grapes. It praises the denomination Alto Adige DOC. Te variety is cultivated around the village of Cornaiano and Colterenzio. Here the lands reach 450 meters elevation and the exposition guarantee the continuous presence of the sun that, joined to the composition of the soil, characterized mainly by gravel, generates a great wine with a good potential of aging. The plants are around 30 years old. The manual harvest is followed by the elimination of stalks. The fermentation is managed in steel containers. After the malolactic fermentation starts the aging that lasts for 5 months in big barrels made of oak.

Bright ruby red colour surrounded by an aromatic perfume characterized by wild berries and spices. The taste is soft, balanced and persistent.

Perfect for every situation, this wine is excellent with “risotto ai finferli”. It has to be served at 12°C in a high, wide wine glass that allows the oxygenation and the diffusion of the perfumes.
