Pinot Nero RISERVA "Trattmann" DOC GIRLAN

This sensational red wine is composed by an international vine variety that is become truly Italian. “Pinot Noir Riserva” is really a classy wine. It praises the denomination DOC Alto Adige.The grapes come from specific lands that produce small quantities, but excellent. Most of them are cultivated in Mazzon, where the lands are characterized by clay, loam and rubbles created by the disintegration of limestone rocks. The other come from the area of Pinzon and Cornaiano, characterized by a warmer climate. Located near the lake of Monticolo and Cornaiano. The harvest is traditionally manual. After the elimination of stalks the must is transferred into steel containers for the fermentation, that lasts 18-20 days. The malolactic fermentation is followed by 15 days aging, that is developed in big barrels made of oak (12 hl) and in small barriques. Other 8 months maturation in the bottle.

The aspect shows a light ruby red colour with a faint orange reflection on the surface. A refined bouquet characterizes the scent, that recalls black cherry, cherry and blueberry, enriched after a while by rose petals and sweet spices.
