Pinot Bianco "PLATT & RIEGL" DOC GIRLAN

Single variety wine-making with 100% Pinot Blanc grapes. It praises the denomination Alto Adige DOC. It is cultivated in the classical area of Oltradige, where the lands reach 500 meters elevation. The different composition of the soils, characterized by clay, limestone and gravel, make this wine unique. The manual harvest is followed by the soft pressing of the entire bunches. The lees are eliminated through natural sedimentation. 50% of the must is then fermented in steel containers at controlled temperature, the other part is fermented in big barrels made of oak (50 hl). 8 months aging on lees.

The organoleptic aspect reveals a straw yellow colour full of light shades that tend to green. Its perfume is simple but elegant at the same time. It recalls white flowers, apple, citrus fruits and, at the end especially, minerals. The taste is fragrant and structured, easy and persistent.

A fabulous wine that is worth to open during important and classy happy hours, it goes on well with fresh cheese and salmon. It hast to be served at 10°C in high, tapered wine glass.
