Gewurztraminer "FLORA" DOC GIRLAN

This wine, produced with 100% Gewürztraminer, praises the denomination Alto Adige DOC. The plants are cultivated in the traditional production area. 33% of the selected grapes come from the area of Cornaiano, on the hills of Oltradige, where the elevation reaches 450-500 meters and the plants are between 10-15 years old. The rest of the plants grows up in Bassa Atesina-Cortaccia. The combination of the soils compositions, rich of gravel, clay and minerals, give to this product a unique flavour. The harvest is traditionally manual. After a brief maceration, the entire bunches are pressed and the lees are eliminated through natural sedimentation of the must. The fermentation is managed at controlled temperature in steel containers. No malolactic fermentation and aging on lees in steel for 8 months.

Features of the white wine “Gewürztraminer Flora”

Intense straw yellow colour. Its perfume is mineral and complex, recalling mature, yellow fruits, citrus fruits and apple. The taste is soft, balanced, enchanting, elegant and persistent.

Ideal with fishes, crustaceans and savoury cheeses, this white is excellent with sweets, especially with strudel. It should be served at a temperature that swings between 10 and 12°C.
