Kreos is the only rosé wine from Castello Monaci. It presents itself as a very versatile wine with a marked acidity and a lot of elegance. The name of the wine recalls the Greek myth of Eos, the goddess of the dawn that Homer called "goddess with pink fingers" due to the effect that is seen in the sky at dawn. The vine used for its vinification is 100% Negroamaro. The origin falls in the Salento area. The Rosato Negroamaro Kreos by Castello Monaci is born in Salice Salentino, from vineyards with an enviable exposure to the sun, caressed by the wind mitigated by two seas, the Ionian and the Adriatic one. The vinification is the careful result of only Negroamaro grapes, harvested by hand in the coolest hours of the morning. After a soft pressing, the must ferments with a very short contact with the skins until it reaches a bright pink colour.
