This sensational wine by Montalbera winery comes from the DOCG zone “Langhe Piemontesi”. The vineyard is trained with espaliers with Guyot method. It is produced with 100% Chardonnay. The wine making starts with pressing, where the grapes are in contact with stalks. Then, the must is clarified through enzymes and flotation. The fermentation is managed in non-toasted tonneaux made of French oak. The aging is developed in the same containers for 8-12 months and continues in the bottles, placed horizontally at controlled temperature.
Features of the white wine “Langhe DOC Chardonnay Nudo”
The organoleptic exam shows an intense yellow colour full of gold reflections. The scent is characterized by mature banana, loquat skins and acacia flowers. Its taste is wide and persistent. Its alcohol content underlines its tannins, its vegetal sourness and its minerality.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this white wine
Excellent for happy hours, it is a perfect marriage with white meat, starters and fish too. It has to be served at 10°C in a high, tapered wine glass that allows the concentration of the scents.
