From the vineyards of Monforte d'Alba, located at 300-400 m above sea level and on silty soils with good sand and limestone, this red wine from the Piedmontese Conterno Fantino winery was born. The grapes used to produce this Barbera d'Alba Vignota are pure Barbera grapes: once the manual harvest at the end of September is over, maceration and alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled steel are carried out. Once fermentation is complete, malolactic fermentation takes place in wood. The final refinement phase takes place in steel and French oak wood.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has a ruby red color with purple highlights. The olfactory notes of the olfactory bouquet recall red fruits and spices, as well as violet and pepper. On the palate it is soft, of good freshness and with delicate tannins.
Recommended pairings with this red wine from Conterno Fantino
Try it with meat roasts, braised meats, sliced meats and cured meats, and medium-aged cheeses. Serve at 18°C.
