Wine description
From the heart of the Valle d'Itria, the “land of Trulli” located between Bari and the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto comes this Apulian red wine from the Tenute Girolamo winery. For the production of this Apulian wine, pure Susumaniello grapes are used: after the harvest, these are crushed and then undergo red vinification through maceration at a controlled temperature for about 15 days. The final ageing phase involves 6 months in French oak barriques.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
It has a very intense red colour. The olfactory profile evokes red fruits and balsamic notes, on the palate it impresses with a spicy and elegant aftertaste given by the ageing in wood.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian red wine
Perfect with red meat, stewed, grilled, roasted. Serve at a temperature of 16-18 C°.
