This sweet Friulian White wine is produced with 100% Picolit grapes grown in the Cialla Valley in Prepotto near Udine. The grapes used for its production come half from the late harvest at the end of October and half from the drying: afterwards the spontaneous fermentation of the must takes place in French oak barrels with subsequent stay in the same for at least 20 months. The refinement continues with a further stay of 24 months in the bottle.
Characteristics of this sweet Friulian wine
The organoleptic exam shows a bright golden yellow color and an olfactory bouquet that evokes acacia and orange peel; on the palate it is sweet but with a good balance.
Suggested food pairings while tasting this sweet white wine
Excellent as a "meditation" wine but also in combination with foie gras, spicy cheese and dry pastries. To be served at a temperature of 10-12°C in a small bowl.
