This Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso from the Ronchi di Cialla winery in Friuli is produced with Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grapes grown in the Cialla Valley in Prepotto, near Udine. After the manual harvest, maceration takes place with the use of indigenous yeasts for 4 weeks and daily pumping over. The refinement requires a stay in French oak and Slavonian oak for 14-18 months with subsequent 50 months of further refinement in the bottle.

Upon organoleptic examination this Refosco dal peduncolo rosso shows an intense ruby red color with violet reflections; the olfactory notes recall cherry and blackberry: with aging it is enriched with further olfactory notes such as licorice and spices.
