Grechetto Umbria "Poggio dell'Annunziata" Benincasa

The Poggio dell’Annunziata wine of the agricultural company Benincasa is a prestigious classic product of Umbria. It reminds the local tradition and at the same time it promotes the territory values. It is produced with 100% Grechetto grapes cultivated at east of the Transimeno lake by taking advantages by the optimal sun exposition and the positive winds influence. The selected grapes are softly pressed and the destemmed and they have to macerate for 18 hours. The aging occurs in wood barrels for 6 months which give to the wine a good structure and harmonic scents. The soil is mostly clay with sand coming from the Pleistocene era. The profit is 80 quintals per hectare.
