The Friulano DOC from Cantina Volpe Pasini is a historic white wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia, produced from Friulano grapes grown in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, one of the most viticultural areas in northeastern Italy. Winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled steel and aging continues in the bottle, thus preserving the grape's typical expressiveness and aromatic freshness.
Characteristics of this wine from the Volpe Pasini Winery
On organoleptic examination it appears with a bright straw yellow color. On the nose it expresses delicate and typical aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit and above all the characteristic note of bitter almond, a distinctive element of Friulian. In the mouth it is full, balanced and harmonious, with a good structure and a pleasant freshness that accompanies the tasting until a slightly savoury and persistent finish.
Recommended pairings with this Friulian white wine
It pairs very well with appetizers, cured meats, and raw ham, also making an excellent aperitif wine thanks to its drinkability and elegant yet immediate profile. The recommended service temperature is approximately 10–12 °C.
