Valpolicella Classico DOC is a red wine signed Allegrini, family which is protagonist of the Valpolicalla since the sixteenth century, and since then has perpetuated the culture of wine. The vines located in Fumane in a hilly area have an average age of 30 year. The grapes that give life to this wine are: 70% Corvina Veronese, 30% Rondinella, indigenous grapes of Valpolicella. The harvest takes place in September, strictly by hand, and after a soft pressing, takes place the fermentation with a duration of about 9 days. The aging is made in steel for 9 months, followed by 2 months in the bottle.
Characteristics of Valpolicella Classico
Its color is intense ruby red with violet hues. The aroma is fruity with a predominance of cherry, notes of herbs and pepper. If drunk young impresses with its sleek and juicy taste, after a few years is more delicate.
