“Flora Sauvingon” is produced with 100% Sauvignon grapes and praises the denomination DOC Alto Adige. The plants are cultivated in the traditional production area and the best grapes come from the area of Cornaiano, Monticolo and Appiano Monte, where the elevation of the lands reaches 500 meters above the sea level. The combination of the soils compositions, rich of gravel, clay and minerals, give to this product a unique character. The harvest is traditionally manual. After a brief maceration, the entire bunches are pressed and the lees are eliminated through natural sedimentation of the must. The fermentation is managed at controlled temperature in steel containers. No malolactic fermentation and 8 months aging on lees in steel and in big oak barrels.
Features of the white wine “Flora Sauvignon”
This wine shows an intense straw yellow colour full of green reflections. Its perfume opens with a wide bouquet that recalls elder flowers and grapefruit next to intense vegetal hints like nettle, celery and tomato leaves. The taste is warm and fresh at the same time, sour and persistent.
