MASSETINO 2022 ORNELLAIA

The "Massetino" of the Ornellaia winery is a wine made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes harvested by hand in the prestigious Masseto hill in Bolgheri. Each individual parcel is vinified separately and fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in barriques. After a year, the wine is blended and put back in the barrel for another 3 months before being bottled.

Characteristics of this Tuscan red wine

Organoleptic examination this Tuscan wine shows a full red color; on the nose there are hints of ripe red fruits and hints of licorice and oak. On the palate it shows itself as an intense, full-bodied and structured wine with firm tannins and a nice acidity.

This Tuscan red wine lends itself particularly to pairings with pasta with meat sauce, roasts and grilled meats. To be served at a temperature of 15-18°C in a large wine glass.
