MASSETINO 2021 ORNELLAIA

The "Massetino" of Ornellaia Winery is a wine obtained from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes hand-picked in the prestigious Masseto hill in Bolgheri. Each single parcel is vinified separately and fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in barrique. After a year the wine is assembled and put back in cask for another 3 months before being then bottled.

Characteristics of this Tuscan red wine

At the organoleptic examination this Tuscan wine shows a full red color; the nose reveals hints of ripe red fruits and hints of licorice and oak. On the palate it shows itself as an intense, full-bodied and structured wine with strong tannins and a nice acidity.

Suggested food pairings while tasting this red wine

This Tuscan red wine is particularly suitable for combinations with pasta with meat sauce, roasts and grilled meats. To be served at a temperature of 15-18°C in a large glass.
