This Barolo Serra wine from Giovanni Rosso Winery is the result of a meticulous production process involving Nebbiolo grapes grown in Serralunga d'Alba. The east/south-east facing vineyards are located at an altitude of 370-395 metres above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand during October and pressed using a soft pressing method. Red vinification then takes place, i.e. fermentation of the must in cement in contact with the skins for about 25 days. The final stage of ageing takes place in 25 and 50 hl French oak barrels for a period of 18 to 36 months.
Characteristics of this Barolo by Giovanni Rosso
It has a very intense ruby red colour. The bouquet is striking with notes of blackberry, raspberry, mint and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, with a dense tannic texture.
Recommended pairings with this red wine from Piedmont
