The Montepulciano D'Abruzzo DOP of Tenuta Ulisse is produced with 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes, cultivated on the calcareous and clayey soil of the village of Crecchio, province of Chieti. The harvest begins in November, by hand harvesting the grapes. After crushing and maceration, the grapes are slowly fermented in tanks for about 15-20 days. Then the aging phase takes place, first in steel and then in bottle.
Characteristics of this Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
On the organoleptic test, this wine from Abruzzo has an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose is pleasant and persistent with fruity notes of red berries of black cherry and blackberry. In the mouth the taste is of good body with a finish of great persistence and pleasantness with sweet tannins.

This Montepulciano from Tenuta Ulisse is excellent with game, braised, red meat, roasts but also aged cheeses. The optimal serving temperature is 18ºC in a fairly large glass.
