The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Castelgiocondo" comes from the Castelgiocondo estate, a company that belongs to the important and refined Frescobaldi winery from Tuscany: it derives from the pure vinification of the finest Sangiovese grapes. It is the result of a rigorous selection of only Sangiovese grapes in the vineyard, where all the characteristics necessary to enhance this ancient vine are scrupulously respected: ideal altitude, draining soils and south-west exposure. It is a wine of great structure, elegant, balanced, with intense aromas and great finesse. Maceration for the vinification of Sangiovese lasts for 32 days then the malolactic fermentation carried out after the alcoholic fermentation takes place. The containers for the aging were those selected by the technicians and saw the use of French oak barriques and Slavonian oak barrels. The aging time of the wine takes 2 years in wood and 4 months in the bottle.
