A red wine that represents the essence of the Barbareschi of Neive: intense, intriguing, harmonious. The pure Nebbiolo grapes come from the vineyards of the Municipality of Neive, facing southwest and at an altitude of 230 m above sea level. After the harvest, the grapes are subjected to pygio-shrinkage and then to alcoholic fermentation in steel at controlled temperature for approximately 15 days. This is followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak and then aging in the bottle.
Characteristics of this La Spinetta wine
It has a bright ruby red color and olfactory notes of ripe cherry, violet and licorice with shades of spices and leather as well. On the palate it impresses with floral and spicy aromas, silky and well-defined tannins. The ending is long.
Recommended pairings with this Piedmontese red wine
Excellent with dishes based on red meat, game, cold cuts and cured meats but also risottos. Serve at 18-20°C.
