Wine description
This Sardinian red wine from Cantina Argiolas is produced from 100% Carignano grapes, grown on sandy soils with limestone and clay components. After the grapes are harvested by hand, fermentation and maceration take place at a controlled temperature for about 15 days. The must is then transferred to steel tanks for malolactic fermentation; the final stage of ageing takes place in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Sardinian wine
It has a very deep ruby red colour. The bouquet is very intense, reminiscent of red fruits and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is fresh with a delicate tannic texture.
Recommended pairings with this Sardinian red wine
Perfect with first courses with elaborate meat-based sauces, main courses of stewed or roasted meat and medium-aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C.
