Weinbeschreibung

The classification boasted by this sensational wine is the I.G.T. Terre Siciliane. The grape variety used for its production is Nero d'Avola blended with Syrah. The origin, according to Firriato tradition, is that of the Agro di Trapani in the Baglio Sorìa estate. The harvest involves manual harvesting of the grapes, which for Nero d'Avola takes place in the second ten days of September, while for Syrah in the first ten days of September. The vinification involves the use of the traditional red method in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged for 8 months in American oak barriques.

 

Santagostino Baglio Soria Rosso Firriato’s features

A dense and deep ruby colour with lively purple traces. The perfume presents itself with concentrated and well-defined nuances of morello cherry, wild berries, rhubarb, cloves, aromatic herbs and plums, which alternate and intersect with fascinating hints of licorice, ink and tobacco leaves. The taste is sweet, soft and caressing, it exhibits its great personality with a strongly Mediterranean imprint, combining with admirable harmony a powerful and exuberant fabric, extraordinary gustatory vivacity, velvety tannins and rare nobility.

A perfect red wine with meat main courses, it is excellent with lamb ribs and potatoes. The optimal serving temperature is 16 ° C in a large glass.
