Full-bodied and intense, this Gattinara Tre Vigne red wine is made from pure Nebbiolo grapes from three historic Gattinara vineyards: Lurghe, which conveys its characteristic color; Permolone, which adds complexity; and Alice, which adds elegance. Winemaking takes place in steel for approximately 15-18 days at controlled temperature. The aging process takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels for 40 months: 20% spend part of this time in barriques, while the further rest in the bottle takes 8-10 months.
Characteristics of this Gattinara wine
It has a very deep ruby red color. The olfactory notes recall balsamic notes, dried flowers, licorice and red fruits. On the palate it impresses with a firm tannic texture and soft aromatic notes.
Recommended pairings with this Travaglini red wine
Excellent with red meat and game dishes. Try with roasts and grills. Serve at 18-20°C.
