Chardonnay Veneto FERRATA MACULAN

Maculan winery is a little reality with a small production that otherwise is characterized by elegance and class. “Ferrata” is produced with 100% Chardonnay grapes, cultivated in the area of Breganze, in the locality called “Ferrata”, where the lands are characterized by volcanic and plains full of gravel. The wine making starts with cold maceration (2 days) followed by soft pressing. The aging is managed in French barriques made of Allier oak, where the wine rests on its sediments for 5 months. Other 12 months maturation in the bottle conclude the process.

Features of the white wine “Ferrata Chardonnay”

The aspect reveals a straw yellow colour with gold shades. Its perfume is rich and intense, with hints of mature fruits, butter, almond, vanilla and toasted wood. The taste is dry, rich balanced and persistent.

Recommended food pairings while tasting white wine produced by Maculan winery

This wine is recommended with savoury dishes, soups, fish or white meat. Due to its longevity, it could be “forgotten” in the cellar for 10 years. It has to be served at 12°C.
