Cantine di Dolianova

Cantine di Dolianova is one of Sardinia's most important winemaking centers and represent a historical landmark for the Parteolla area, in the south of the island. Their story begins in 1949, when a group of local winemakers decided to join together in a cooperative to enhance the work of their vineyards and give greater strength to wine production in a period still complex for Sardinian agriculture. This choice arose from the need to transform an ancient agricultural tradition into a modern and organized project, capable of bringing quality and recognizability to local wines. The connection with the vine in this area, however, is much older than the winery itself: evidence of winemaking culture dating back to the Nuragic era has been found in the Dolianova area, a sign that vine cultivation and wine production have been part of local history for millennia. Today, the Cantina is a large cooperative that brings together hundreds of winemaking members and manages one of the largest vineyards in Sardinia, with vineyards concentrated mainly in Parteolla. This allows us to work on a very rich ampelographic heritage, which includes the island's iconic grape varieties such as Cannonau, Vermentino, Monica, Nuragus, and other indigenous ones, maintaining a strong bond with the area and with the families who have cultivated the vine for generations. The peculiarity of the Dolianova Wineries lies precisely in their being a large modern cooperative which, despite having significant dimensions, maintains an approach strongly linked to peasant tradition. The production philosophy aims to combine technical innovation and respect for the territory, with careful processing in the vineyard and cellar to maximize the characteristics of Sardinian grapes. The result is a wide range of wines that clearly express Sardinia's Mediterranean identity, made up of sun, wind, and mineral-rich soils.
